Josh Rey is a Canadian music producer, multi-instrumentalist, and studio drummer based in Hamilton, Ontario. Known for his dynamic work across hip-hop, ambient, and electronic genres, Josh first gained recognition producing for rising artists like KillBunk, Brandon ThaKidd, and 2gaudy (637Godwin). His production on KillBunk’s 2021 viral single “Nascar” helped propel the artist’s streaming success, contributing to a global chart presence.

In 2025, Josh launched his solo artist project with This Journey, an ambient/electronic debut album featuring cinematic soundscapes and chill instrumentals. His follow-up singles, including “Soleil” and “Your Love Is My Medicine,” continue to highlight his genre versatility—from DnB to melodic R&B.

Josh is endorsed by leading percussion brands including Pearl Drums, Meinl Cymbals, Vic Firth, and Evans Drumheads, affirming his skill and credibility as a professional drummer.

Josh’s work has been featured in Elevator Magazine and Roadie Music, spotlighting his role in shaping the sound of emerging talent. He also co-founded Origami Productions, a platform for visual and musical content.

Josh continues to evolve both as a solo artist and behind-the-scenes producer. With new collaborations and self-releases planned for 2025, he’s building a reputation as one of Canada’s most promising young creatives in the independent music space.
